Press Release 1/25/16 (Kent, Connecticut)– Are you thinking about making big design changes within your home? Want to make sure you have a full understanding of the process before living inside your home at the mercy of the contractor’s schedule? Home Renovation 101 is the perfect introduction for all homeowners at the beginning stages of reevaluating or redesigning their living environment. This workshop will help you to understand remodeling, demystify the budget process, guide you through the design process and explore the various construction options.  This program is the first step in a long process of home remodeling. Join us for this special workshop on Saturday, February 13, 11:00 a.m. (snowdate: Saturday, February 27). You will learn ten important things to consider before starting your home renovations with Kent resident, Hilary Carlin, Design & Project Coordinator at Design Builders & Remodeling, Inc.

Hilary Carlin is a Kent resident who has remodeled, built, and renovated a variety of homesteads; NY apartments, a 1900 dairy barn, a modular cottage and a Vermont lake house. Hilary is a serial remodeler spending her free time wandering the halls of Home Depot or Loews.  She now uses her design degree from Parson School of Design to help homeowners navigate the overwhelming process of renovating or building their dream homes. She works for a Connecticut-based firm, Design Builders and Remodeling based in Ridgefield, CT.  The firm is a one-stop shop assisting and educating homeowners from the concept stage through construction and completion.  Design Builders offers structural support, architectural plans, design selections and all construction support.
