Gentle Hatha Yoga, Every Saturday at 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. – with Barrie Kavasch, “with easy, practical yoga postures designed to strengthen balance and the back. We focus on “mindfulness” and “relaxation” along with building strong bodies through strengthening bones, joints, and muscles with classic stretches. Kent Library Association Annual Meeting, Saturday, January 9, 2:00 p.m. The Kent Library Association, the operating entity of the Kent Memorial Library, will hold its annual meeting in the Reading Room at the Library. On the agenda is a review of highlights from 2015 and an election of new board members to fill a number of expiring terms. The public is invited to attend.

Monthly Chess Club. Saturday, January 16, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.  The competition is open to young and old, beginners to advanced. Curl Up with Good Book: Winter Reading Program for Adults. January 4 to April 4. Adults are invited to drop in to win a chance at our Wine, Birds & Soup-themed giveaway bags! Adults will earn a prize ticket for each book they read or listen to, which they will then enter into the category of their choice. The more books you read or listen to, the better chances you have at winning one of these bags filled with wine, birds or soup.
