The Music Man is the most wonderful musical for the entire family! When Harold Hill, a traveling con man, arrives in River City, he convinces the locals to start a band by purchasing the uniforms and instruments from him. His intention is to flee as soon as he receives the money. Librarian Marian Paroo suspects Harold is a fraud, but holds her tongue since her moody brother, Winthrop, is excited about the band. As Harold begins to develop feelings for Marian, he faces a difficult decision about skipping town.

“We are excited about having this fun joint venture with the Sharon Playhouse. The Music Man is a toe-tapping family musical with familiar tunes such as Seventy-six Trombones and ’Til There Was You,” raves Sandy Edelman, Co-President of the Library Board of Directors. “Have fun and support the Kent Memorial Library in a country theatre right in our own backyard.”

To reserve your seats now, go to kentmemoriallibrary.org or go to the front desk at the Library. Tickets will be held at the Ice Cream Social at the Bok Gallery on the Playhouse grounds. For more information, contact Janet Rivkin at 917.797.0476.
