Learn to Top Graft Apples and Pears with Justin Potter 12 p.m.

Monday, March 15 at 12:00 p.m.

Join Kent Memorial Library as Justin Potter shows us ‘gentle top grafting;’ adding scionwood of one variety onto a well established tree of another variety, but without the major surgery involved with standard top grafting. Doing this, Justin has added about 40 varieties onto three apple trees since 2018. Participants will be able to see grafts of different ages, where on the tree they worked well - and where they didn’t - and learn some things that Justin had to learn the hard way. Address will be provided upon registration. This program is live, outside, off site, and masks and social distancing are required. Rain date will be Friday, March 19.
