FALL 2026 KENT MEMORIAL LIBRARY BOOK DISCUSSION
TAKING ON THE PAST
The Fall Book Discussion focusses on novels in which characters find themselves
taking on parts of the past. That past can be historical or personal, it can involve
relationships or institutions. In each case a character is put in the position of revisiting
elements of the past. This raises the question, how well do “do overs” work in fiction?
