FALL 2024 KML BOOK DISCUSSION
FAMILY DYSPHORIA
The novels on the Fall Book Discussion list follow young characters who find themselves in acute disjunction with the life around them. Whether the source is color, nationality, gender, or religion, these characters must find ways to deal with the overwhelmingly intense sense that they do not fit in.
Brit Bennett The Vanishing Half 2020 Sept. 12
Janika Oza A History of Burning 2023 Oct. 10
Thomas Gratton The Recent East 2021 Nov. 14
Toby Lloyd Fervor 2024 Dec. 12
The book discussion takes place via Zoom once a month on a Thursday from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. It is open to the general public who register in advance. When you register, please let the library know if you would like them to get the books for you. However, Kent Memorial Library is an Association library, not a public library, and appreciates those who become members by making a contribution.
