Booklists

If you’re looking for a book you’d like to read or if you have an assignment to fulfill, the library’s trained youth services staff can make an excellent, personal recommendation just for you. Please call, email, or come to the library! You may also find one of the following lists of recommended titles helpful.

Kent Memorial Library Grade Level Recommendations

These lists have been curated with reading level and age-appropriate interests in mind. However, there is no hard and fast rule about which books are for which ages! These lists reflect popular books for various grades, but anyone can read a book from any list that interests them.

CT Nutmeg Book Award

The Nutmeg Book Award encourages children in grades 2-12 to read quality literature and to choose their favorite from a list of ten nominated titles each year. To learn more about this year’s Nutmeg Nominees, or to find out about recent award winners, visit the Nutmeg Book Award website. Kent Memorial Library makes an effort to obtain each year’s Nutmeg Book Award nominees for the library’s collection.
