Mansards & by Jim Fenzel
January 2nd – February 29
Jim Fenzel is an artist based in West Hartford, CT. His paintings look at architecture and human interaction with the built environment. A former English teacher, Jim utilizes some rules ( “omit needless words”) and philosophies (such as Hemingway’s “iceberg theory” of omission) that he taught in class and applies them to his compositions with a straightforward style. Fenzel earned a Bachelor’s in English from Georgetown and a Master’s of Architecture from Pratt Institute. His work has appeared in galleries and juried shows throughout New England and upstate New York.
