Kathy Flynn, a New Milford, CT artist, is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. Her passion for art started at a young age, but she didn’t focus on painting until taking her first class at the Washington Arts Association in 2014. Knowing the importance of having a community of artists, she paints weekly in small group settings. The beauty in the world around her is her inspiration. She paints still life, landscape, waterscape, and abstract in different mediums, including oil and acrylic. Kathy uses art to create joy by expressing the world around her.
Artist Statement:
Painting quiets the active mind, giving space for the inner voice. In that quiet is where the magic happens. An intimate conversation with the blank canvas transforms into a beautiful work of art.
