Watercolor Painting Demonstration with Sandra Cointreau. Join us for a cozy evening at the Library on Thursday, January 12 at 6:30 p.m. to view a watercolor demonstration by artist Sandra Cointreau. She paints what she most knows and loves, including the horses she knows and loves, and the plants, trees and waterways of Connecticut. She uses photographs for anatomy and details, but relies on her memories and imagination for portions of every painting. Like many artists, she has transitioned to more loose, abstract, and transparent techniques to leave more to the imagination of the view in her paintings. For the Library she will demonstrate some of her approaches to doing a sky and an imagined landscape in watercolor. Refreshments served. Free & Open to the Public.
